    Hi, I've got a recent nc8430 w/ x1600 mobile and S-video.

What would be the best way to connect my laptop to a HDTV with DVI and Component inputs. In the past I have used S-video to connect to an older TV I had but it looked like crap unless I was playing video.

Which option would be the best

    1) Use a VGA cable to go from laptop to HDTV with a DVI adapter.

    2) Use a VGA-to-Component cable ( http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/vga-rgb-component.html)

    3) Or another option

The dock for the 8430 has a DVI connector.

Hmm, I was hoping for a cheaper way.
