    Hello,
I recently formatted my hard drive on my DV6t quad. I installed Windows 7 in addition to the driver CD they provided. I then used HP Update to download any new drivers available. I think it downloaded a few, along with the 11.8 video drivers. Anytime I play a game, it runs smoothly for about 3 seconds and then stutters for 1-2. My FPS is fine for all of these games. In other games, background music will just randomly cut out. The games where this happens have smooth game play and a steady FPS, but both suffer from just the background music cutting out. I have tried uninstalling the 11.8 and installing the previous drivers that came out in Septermber. Those did not work, so I tried the DNA drivers with the 12.1 preview and I still suffered from the same stuttering. Dont know what else to do. Maybe its not the GPU thats causing it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Can you check what is your temperature when the stuttering happen?

    Did you disable PowerPlay?

The temperature is very low. I havent taken the time to take the temperature because it happens in the menus of games before the computer even has a chance to get hot. Powerplay is disabled.

Enable PowerPlay. I've had performance issues with PowerPlay disabled.

Thanks. I have enabled PowerPlay and I still get the stuttering problem in addition to the audio issues.

Install MSI Afterburner, enable the ingame OSD. Check you Core clock, Mem clock and GPU usage while gaming. Check the temperature as well.
