    Cooling mods?

    Anyone done any cooling mods to thier laptop? Like removing the HSF and using artic silver 5 or adding some extra holes to the cover over the HD? Just curious if anything has helped.

    Yes, I have, click on the arctic silver 5 guide link in my sig. Shows exactly what I did with my lappy. Basically I removed all heat sinks and applied AS5 to the GPU, GPU memory, CPU, and MCH. Great results to by the way. Let me know if you have any questions.

    I concur, AS5 is great in comparison to toothpaste Gel that came on my processors.

    Yeah I went ahead and did it.. not sure if I should have but it did help my temps.. cant seem to get the keyboard 100% flat.. sticks up a hair on the left size where some small wires run under it probably the issue. I put up a thread about it.... "Im an idiot... but"
