Hi
is any body able to help out please?
i dont think my installation of Speed fan has worked correctly. (i have uninstalled and re installed and there is no difference).
Please see the screen shots, Core temp and speed fan give different readings... is this normal? (running a HP DV903 with Vista)

sp speed fan reckons im at 18 deg while core temp thinks im at 36 deg. I think core tmp sounds more accurate.
Also, i loaded speed fan on my work laptop (dell) and i had a few more measurements including CPU usage and HD Temp.. Is there something that needs to be done specifically for the HPs?
thx

hmm well 18 x 2 is 36 eh
so either speedfan has simply divided the reading or core temp is over-reading. can u or have u used speedfan 4.31? it only reads on temp for the CPU not two like 4.32. -
Intel's TAT program monitors a digital sensor located on the hottest part of the CPU core. It usually reads a few degrees above Core Temp.
Core Temp v's Speed Fan
