Several posts in various forums recommend this adapter http://us.kensington.com/html/6368.html, and it's readily available on eBay for about $30. So I bought one, and the HP tip pack which contains the N3 and N9 tips, but those turn out not to fit the dv2000t. There's no listing for the dv2000t on Kensington's web site at all (get with the program, Kensington -- it's only been available since what, August?) -- has anyone figured out a tip that works?
Thanks

My question is why would you need one of those Kensington Battery why not just get a 12 cell for your dv2000t? I mean the 12 cell would probably sufficient enough to last you a whole day of work without plugging on. Unless you have to be away from a power source and continually working over 6-7 hours. I have a 12cell battery and it lasts well OVER 5-7 hours depending on applications turned on.

Well, I don't have the 12-cell, I have the 6-cell. I'm lucky to get 2 hours of battery life out of it. No, I don't absolutely need the auto/air part, I mostly just wanted to leave one adapter at work and one at home, but I thought the universal would be nice to have. Don't know why my battery life is poor for sure, but it could be because
-I have the Go 7200 video chip
- I run Vista with Aero Glass on
- I use it as a development machine, and the compiler runs the CPU up to 100%
- I like the screen brightness all the way up. -
Well, if you need another power adapter go here http://www.notebookparts.com/products/description.php?II=14500 I did the same thing. One at home and one at work.
