Well, they also changed the policy for HDTVs and other electronics, so it isn't just computers.
Still sad news, though. Too many people abusing the policy, me thinks. -
I think some people will still continue to abuse that policy. *shrugs*

With a 6 month return policy, im sure more people were "renting" laptops rather than buying them, then getting a new model ~

wow. my mom was just telling me about this around the dinner table....
im shocked. who does this apply to? i placed my order with them 2 weeks ago....do we know when exactly it is applied? -
depends on the store. the article said some thing that it will start with their stores in cali and then affect the rest some time later

Seeing that technology gets outdated so quickly, I'm even suprised they still have it as long as 3 months.

I do believe Nostradamus predicted this in one of his quatrains. In any event, for those of you jonesin' for a 6 month return policy, try Sam's Club.

90 days is still pretty generous. I had 14 days with CompUSA.

I wonder if this includes game consoles? i just bought a PS3 bundle from them, and that was one of the reasons i chose to buy it there. the return policy. "just in case", you know. so i dont have to deal with any shipping this or that. just box it up and exchange it.

I just spoke to a customer rep and was told that if you purchased said electronics in the warranty clause before the policy change you are 'grandfathered'. You will still have a 6 month return policy.
