Is there anyone here bought their Envy 15 from Costco?
I am thinking about buying the envy 15 in couple weeks to replace my 5 years old Dell XPS 1210. My local Costco has the Envy 15-3033CL in store for $1199.99. Its specs is very similar with the Quick-ship model on HP website ($1195.99 with student discount). The only different I can notice is the Costco model use 8Gb 1 DIMM 1333Mhz while the Quick-ship model use 8Gb 2 DIMM 1600Mhz. Is there a big different between the two models? If the different is not that much,I think I will purchase the one from Costco because they have a 90 days return policy, which compare to 21 days from HP website. I need a longer return policy just in case HP release a fixed model for the Envy 15 (orange screen, keystroke...). And it will be easier for me to just return it in store rather than shipping it back to HP.
Thanks a lot for any help.
Here is the specs of the Costco model:
    Processor & Memory:

    Intel® Core™ i7-2670QM Processor at 2.2GHz (Turbo Boost up to 3.10GHz)

Real world difference, none. You'll never notice the differences between the two models, you may see a difference in benchmarks however.

Id go with the Costco model, HP may release a ivy bridge version of the Envy 15 within the 90 day return period and that may be worth the exchange in my opinion. I bought the quickship model my self and can say that it is a really nice laptop.

The difference would seem to be that the Costco model provides a significantly more valuable 1 x 8GB RAM stick as opposed to the 2 x 4GB provided with the quickship model.

If for some reason you ever need to upgrade your RAM beyond 8GB, you would still have one of your DIMM slots free with the Costco model.

The difference between the Quick Ship model and the Costco model, besides what's already been stated is that the Quick Ship will only have a one year warranty, and Costco provides a second year warranty on all their computers.

Interesting. I picked up the Costco model a week and a half ago and it came with two 4GB 1600mhz DIMMs.

Mine is the same model number too. I bought mine in-store, but I think that might be a typo on the ram part. I can't imagine them using the same model number for two different Costco Envy 15 specs.

It does seem likely to be a typo. I can't imagine why any manufacturer would use the expensive 8GB sticks when 2x4GB are so much cheaper.
