Hello all, I recently purchased an hp dv9543cl from costco and I'm pretty satisfied with it. However, is there a possibility of combining the 2 160gb hard drives somehow? Or is the best way just to buy a bigger hard drive? Thanks in advance.

You could check to see if the notebook supports RAID. If that is the case you could setup a RAID 0 array that would combine both drives into a single volume. It would require reinstalling windows, and it would also slightly increase the risk of data loss, if one of the drives were to fail. A quick search for you model on the HP website brought me here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericDocument?docname=c01062637&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN
It doesn't specifically say that RAID is supported so my guess would be it probably isn't. Also, it doesn't really indicate if that notebook supports drives larger than 160GB. I would definitely urge you to find out the max size HDD that the notebook supports before you buy a larger one. Many notebooks have a size limit.
