OK, I can order a laptop from Costco.com and pay $300 more than if I order it from HP.com (with the 30% off coupon)...thats a nice savings...but if I order at Costco I get 1 extra year of warranty (2 total) and 90 day return policy (just walk into Costco and drop it off) as opposed to 1 year/21 days...so is it worth $300 to go with Costco? I am looking at the DV2500T nicely loaded, delivered and tax at either $1000 from HP or $1300 at Costco.. any thoughts would be appreciated...Thanks.

I'd order directly from HP. $300 can go towards a new laptop in 2 years :)

I am also faced with this decision. I am leaning toward HP because I can always upgrade my warranty after I buy the laptop if I think I will need it. With that $300 savings you can get a better warranty than Costco is providing. The 2 year with accidental protection is $250 at HP. Costco does not give accidental protection, its just a standard 2 year warranty.

I guess I just keep thinking how easy it would be during that first 90 days to find out how good it is, if it holds up and if not just walk in and say no thanks...and not have to deal with HP customer 'service'...and that second year with Costco sounds good as I called Costco and asked how it works, the guy said they take care of it, and if they cant fix it for a reasonable cost to them they will replace with something current...that sounds real good and costco is rated very highly in customer service..i have no fear there, HP on the other hand, ive heard stories and can only imagine what trying to get something done during the last months of year two would be like..but again its $300 which is almost a third the price of the damn thing...

Guys, just remember that the 30% coupon is no longer valid. So you will only get the 20% coupon to use.
