Hey guess i received my hp last tuesday and so far i must say wow great laptop except for the fact the bloatware is killing me. Anyways I got some questions that i need answered:

1: Which laptop case is best for the dv6000t possible backback.
2: Where can i get a program that enables me to control the speed of my fans
3: what is the best application that i can use to keep up with the temperatures of the entire computer.

    Thanks.

Unfortunately afaik there is no way to control your fans so far. search for a topic called HP control fans or something along those lines in this section and you will find a thread about this. simply put, there is a forum where someone maybe able to help with this using NHC but i dunno if this person has done the dv6000 or dv9000's settings for controlling the fan in NHC.

NHC is a good app that helps monitor temps as well as regulate voltage and change profiles. however i dunno if it works for Vista yet as last I tried it, it gave a blue screen. speedfan monitors the cpu and hard drives. RMClock monitors the CPU and allows u to undervolt it to reduce temps and save battery time.

As for a good case, it depends on what you are looking for. If you want to carry it in say...a regular backpack...then you can get a notebook sleeve by Targus for around $20. If you want a full featured laptop bag a la messenger-style, then Targus and a variety of makers sell those with a gazillion pockets for $40-50. If you want a dedicated laptop backpack, those can be had for about $10-20 more than the messenger-style bags.

I personally have both a Targus messenger-style bag and a sleeve and I like the sleeve better since I can just stuff the machine into my regular backpack and cut down the number of bags I have to carry.
