HP shows it having a little triangular removable remote control. Does this come without having to buy the TV Tuner option? I called HP sales but there was a language barrier that I could not get past.

How is the sound of the unit. I just returned a Dell Studio 17 because the internal speakers were worthless.

Can I purchase the Accidental Damage protection after the purchase? The first year costs $110, the second year cost another $140, and the third another $120 (Weird pricing scheme). Is it better to go ahead and get all three years or do a year by year?

Yes, the media remote control is included in the accessories box. It always gets included with the HDX18t with or without the TV Tuner.

I love the sound of the speakers. They are some of the best speakers I have had on laptops. It's probably partially due to the subwoofer. Though if the subwoofer wasn't under the laptop, it'd probably sound even better.
