    Hey all,

I received an email from my cousin. His laptop got ran over by a car accidentally. :( His laptop isn't even 6 months old. :( So it was brand new. :( Now I will try if there is any can be done w/ the warranty. Btw, his laptop is HP Pavilion Dv6627nr. I doubt it that the warranty will cover a crack screen, but I am not sure about HP. Does it?

    TIA

    JC

If it got run over by a car, you are lucky it's only the screen that's cracked.

Probably not something that is covered by the basic warranty that comes with the laptop (this is for hardware defects). If you have the Accidental Damage Protection warranty coverage then yes it should be covered. Did your cousin buy ADP when he bought the laptop?? If not he's hosed and the cost for repair probably wont be worth it. One thing you can check is to see how much the screen itself would cost and replace it yourself. You can buy them online from a variety of sites, get the model number of the screen and hit google.

    Good Luck,

    -Reby

Thank you Reby for confirming it. I don't think he bought the ADP. I don't believed he is willing to repair it. :( Oh well, sell it for parts.

    Thanks again.
