My Envy 17 Non-3D crashes when I open AC:R. I don't even have the time to go in game. The game crashes the computer even in the menus. When I say crash, the computer shuts itself down and auto restarts itself. I do not know what the problem is since it can run Dota 2 and Civ 5 on max settings. I have re-installed AC:R once and it gave me the same result. I recently installed 8gb Corsair Vengeance ram, but I do not think this is the problem.
When the game crashes, the computers temperatures are normal.
PROBLEM ABOVE WAS B/C OF FAULTY RAM STILL NEED FEEDBACK ON TEMPERATURES FROM THE QUESTION BELOW

Another question. The area right in front of the hp logo on the screen becomes very hot during games. The rest of the laptop is fine. Is this normal? The fans also have had 3 stages. Normal for browsing. Noticeable when gaming. Then a high speed and pitched fan that turns on after a while of gaming for about 1-2 minutes to cool everything. Is this normal?
