The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Credential Manager hangs reading GMail

    I have a problem with Credential Manager causing Internet Explorer to hang when reading/scrolling thru individual emails with GMail (google email). I am using Windows 7 Prof 64 with HP ProtectTools Security Manager Version 4.10.10.0003 on a 2530p.

    Does anyone have a solution to this? Right now I have to disable the Credential Manager add-on in Internet Explorer which defeats the purpose of having Credential Manager installed. I tried completely uninstalling ProtectTools since it isn't working right but it doesn't completely uninstall.

    Any help appreciated.
