When I first bought my laptop I was unable to create the system restore disks. HP was unable to help and they sent me one. Now after about 4 months the health check is telling me I did not create the restore disks. I don't want to. I have a disk in addition to having the recovery partition. How do I stop the warning?

I recommend trying to create the recovery disks again, if it lets you
The recovery disks hp sends you are generic which is used to re-image other DV models. Which has a higher failure rate or very very slow recovery time.
The one you create yourself is model specific to that exact laptop. This has a lower failure rate -
I tried the recovery disk creation again. At 95% of the writing of the second CD it gives an error. I tried another CD and got the same problem.

What type of media are you using?
DVD-R's kept failing when i used them but when i switched to DVD+R's they worked fine. This is a common issue actually -
I am using CD-R by TDK.
I just want a way to turn off the warning. I will take my chances with the backup partition and the DVD HP mailed to me.
Critical error - no restore disks created
