So I wasn't fully decided on a laptop when the geek week coupon came around (up to 30% off laptops for regular members, up to 22% off for EPP). Unfortunately, by the time I decided on an HP (dv6qe), geek week had expired :( I'm a student, so I get the HP academy discount, but that also means some coupons don't work. Does anyone know of any current deals (like geek week) that give students/EPP % off on laptops?

How frequently does HP distribute these deals? Is it every other week, or more scarce than that?

Essentially, should I buy now or wait for a coupon in the near future? I'm looking to have it arrive august 15ish.

There's a coupon: NBR5818 that saves 30% I believe, but I'm pretty sure it's about to expire. I'm also tempted to purchase the Dv6tqe but I might just wait until august when they may have even better back to school sales.. I hope. Not to mention the cheapest I can get my setup to is 972 before taxes, and I have a cap of 950 :(. GL and hope the coupon is what you were after.

If you or anyone else finds a dell rep who will haggle with the price let me know haha.. tried a few times last night, and all but one kept pushing for my card info right away. The third lady was willing to budge a little but I don't think she understood I couldn't spend a penny more than 950. Kept coming back like 5 dollars cheaper and eventually hung up on me.
