    Customize HP Compaq nx9440/9420

    Hello,

    I am planning to buy HP Compaq nx9440 or nx9420. But I would like to go for it only if I would be able to get a custom configuration (1GB 667 MHz DDR RAM/7200 rpm Hard Disk). But this option is not available in the recommended models and also could not find a way by which configuration can be customized on HPs web site.

    Is it possible to get a customized nx 9440/9420 notebook?

    Please advise.

    Check out this link for a longer NX9420 discussion. To my knowledge, HP is still not allowing build to order on these models, which means you have to choose to go with their preconfigured models. That being said, you can always pick a new drive from NewEgg and hawk yours off somewhere else (or use it to build an external storage device).
