I have a dv7t. It came with some Cyberlink software- Cyberlink DVD Suite, PowerDirector, and Power2Go.
The DVD Suite opens up when I click it, but when I try to open PowerDirector and Power2Go, nothing happens.
Is this software just trial software that expired or is there a way for me to fix it so I can try using these programs?
Thanks

Both of the units we have came with the Cyberlink DVD suite and they arent trial versions, so Im guessing yours isnt either.
Sounds like you may have a problem with the installation. Unfortunately there is no repair function via windows for Cyberlink but if you still have your original HP Software Setup folder you can re-install from there. I think just as a precaution though before I did a re-install, Id uninstall the software, delete any traces in the file system, run Reg Edit and delete any traces there, and then finally run CCleaner or something similar. Re-BOOT and hopefully thatll give you a clean platform for re-install.
This is what Ive installed:
DVD Suite
Original Version 5.0 (from the software setup folder)
Update Version 5.50.220.702 (update only)
YouCam
Original Version 2.0.2519
Original Version 2.0.2816
(FYI: You can install 2816 without having 2519, but from my experience if you do, you will loose some of the cam effects)
Others with newer units may have more current software but this is the current final result we show after using the Cyberlink Update feature:
YouCam - 2.0.2816
Power2GO Express - 5.6.4607
Power2Go - 5.6.4607
PowerDirector - 6.50.3330
LabelPrint - 2.20.3229
Last, if you werent already aware, the Cyberlink suite also contains your DVD encoder . so be careful if youd like to keep it (i.e. play DVDs). You could also consider using the newer MediaSmart stuff if you cant re-install or dont particularly like the Cyberlink Suite. -
Thank you very much for your help! -
Thanks, this also solved my Win7 issue with the Media Smart DVD. Now everything plays the way it should
