    Hey all,

I realize that my video driver is one of those listed as being incompatible with SP1. Anyway, the one listed on HP's site is the one I have installed. On the other hand, the one posted on Windows Update is a newer version of it.

I've heard in the past that drivers should be taken from the OEM. But given the fact that I want to update to SP1, should I take the dive with the one posted on Windows Update?

    Thanks!

Read the gaming sticky on how to install new video drivers.

Hey thanks for the quick reply.

I just checked that forum. Unfortunately, the stick only applies to ATI or Nvidia graphics card.

I'm using the X3100 from Intel.

HP recomends you to download the drivers from their site, but you can still give it a shot

I usually bet on more windows stability from windows update signed drivers.
Not sure about performance though...but compatibility is a definite yes.
