I last used my DM3 about 2 1/2 weeks ago. When I shut it down the battery was at 100%. When I powered it up today, I had only 58% battery charge. This drain seemed excessive to me so I called HP and they seem to have agreed with me as they are sending me a new battery for free under warranty.

Anyone else notice excessive battery drain when the unit is shut down?

I have not had this issue. However, I have had issue with my battery not lasting as long as it should. If they were willing to send you a new battery under warranty for this complaint, perhaps they would send me one too.

    I should call them!

I noticed this also. I'm sending in my dm3 in for service since my sister had some accidents on it. I should probably put that on the problem troubleshooting page.

I'm also having this issue. My NEW battery will drain 25% over three days when the system is shut down(not s3 or s4). HP is giving me hell over replacing the battery.
