hey guyz,i'm planning to do backlit keyboard mod on my DV9000.but there is a problem as i'm unable to find a replacement backlit keyboard on the web.
if any of you can post the link of a compatible backlit keyboard for DV9000 then it will be great.

    TIA,

    Naveen

I'm fairly certain that it is almost impossible to put a backlit keyboard in your notebook sorry :(

Instead of just replacing one keyboard with another, MOD the current keyboard as the thread title says ;) Led strips here and there, taking power from DVD-drive plug... blowing couple fuses, burning down the house...

As far as I know, no dv9000-series was ever sold with backlighted keyboard so none of the motherboards have power connector for it either. It's all DIY then.

    2) even different series of dv9000 aren't all compatible with each other (dv9000 vs 9100, 9200, 9300.... etc). Some keyboards fit, others don't. Of course sizewise they were identical but the connector was placed differently and sometimes even different size.

    3) there still isn't power plug for the backlight, nor there is power button for the light.

    Good luck anyways :)
