Guys, I just bought this and this is my first laptop. I do not know to much about them, but I have a question.

When I am not using this should I leave it plugged in at all times even if it's shut down? Will this mess up the overall batery life?

    Back-up disks.
this was new to me. I'm used to getting actual cd's with a new system. This did not come with any however it did have a cd recovery wizard to run & create new disks. I did do this, but I don't understand what this is going to cover or how it works. Can someone explain it to me? Will this cover ALL the software my laptop came with if something was to go wrong?

Please help and sorry for my ignorance :)

    Thanks for your time

You can leave the power cord on. Batteries these days stop charging after they are fully charged so there is no possibility of overcharging the batteries. It is a good idea though to use the batteries once in a while.

Yes, it will restore the laptop back to factory state. Meaning it will re-install every software, restore partition, quickplay which ships with the laptop. It wont restore any of the software you install.

would you guys recommend taking the battery out if you are using the system as a desktop replacement?
