Does anyone find it weird that the new Pavilion 7000 laptops now have only ONE headphone jack as opposed to TWO in the previous pavilion notebooks? And still no notification light for the number lock button!?!
I own a dv7-6000 laptop and it has TWO headphone jacks and a microphone jack and notification lights on all the lock keys EXCEPT the number lock key, which I expected HP to fix in the new 7000 series but it seems they DIDNT! And they removed one headphone jack why???

Why do you need 2? Do you have 4 ears?
I suppose they removed it to make room for another port of some kind. -
You might be meaning to say the S/PDIF port? There's less and less need for it, I guess, seeing as there can be USB-bound 5.1 speaker systems for laptops. You can also turn on the togglekeys feature to hear an audible sound when you turn Numlock on and off.

You suppose they removed it to make room for an invisible port where the 2nd audio jack used to be?

We're in a very advanced age of computers, and if HP can give a light-notification to the caps-lock, mute, and wireless buttons why do we need to rely on a dumb sound for the number lock key?
