I'd buy one now, but a GMA900's not gonna cut it. Does anybody know if they're planning on releasing a DV1000 with a higher powered GPU available? Thanks!

Yes, it's called the L2000 Special Edition and it comes with an upgraded CPU too :D.

I don't think HP will upgrade the dv1000's graphics card to a dedicated one - they would have done that when they switched from the Intel Extreme Graphics 2 to the Graphics Media Accelerator 900, so don't get your hopes up.

HP will probably come out with a new model if they're going to put a dedicated GPU in it. ;) :hp:

Like I've said before, its ridiculous that HP hasn't put a dedicated GPU in the DV1000. The Toshiba M50 series and one series from Asus, both the same size as the DV1000, have the option of a Radeon X600. HP needs to put at least a X600 in their DV1000 to compete. HURRY UP HP!!!
