    Hi

After selling my Acer 3201 and Fujitsu Siemens S6120 I'm interested in the HP DV1000

Here in the UK we don't get the bright new screen type just the normal one which is fine

The thing that was dissapointing about the other notebooks was the sound - the speakers sounded rubbish and the volume was too low

Are the speakers on the DV1000 better - I know you can't expect very good sound but the other laptops were totally crap - my friends could'n here my music so I require a bit more power

I chose this one as the unit is still portable - I'm in college almost everyday and it has to be with me all the time

    Tanks for any help

    Help.......too late

Most people say the DV1000 has better speakers than its cousin, the V2000 and that it has one of the best laptop speakers around.

Harmon Kardons are excellent in the DV1000. Sound to my ears are equivalent in the V2k and DV1k.
