Yup, I was waiting around for the dv1000t also.
I decided a week ago to just get the Compaq v4000T.
I figured that when the dv1000t comes out and if I really really wanted to buy it, then I could exchange my v4000T for the dv1000t. Now that I know the price on the dv1000T (IMO: too expensive for not having a good graphics card), and I know that its not shipping until the end of february, I must say I'm glad I went ahead and ordered the v4000T, and doubt I'm going to exchange it.

Shame they can't put the webcam and microphone into the single core DV1000s or the updated QuickPlay software, maybe they will soon? I agree that that is too much for no dedicated GPU....

Does the Intel 950 really have a 80% increase over the 900? I think I saw this on ExtremeTech.

If HP would up the dv1400 (single core) with Quickplay 2, webcam and maybe the new Intel 950, I'm all over it.
