According to Crucial.com, the DV1000t memory is:

    200-pin DDR2 SDRAM PC2-4200 533 mhz

Crucial also lists 667 mhz for the DV1000t. Is this correct? If so, can you have one 533 mhz and one 667 mhz stick without causing any problems?

HP's parts store lists both 533 & 667MHz memory for the dv1000t. So either memory should work fine. The chipset also is capable of running 667MHz memory. You can mix memory but it will run only as fast as the slowest memory.

Agreed....if the 667Mhz is cheaper than the 533Mhz then I would just get the 667Mhz.

I had the same thing on my desktop, I had PC2700 and PC3200 but all ran at PC2700 speed.

Thanks! I bet they send 533 mhz with the laptop.
