For those of you who own a DV2000T/DV2000Z, how do you take out the remote from the Express Card slot? Is there a trick to doing this? Is there an eject button or anything like that I am missing? There doesn't seem to be an easy way to pull out the remote with your fingers.

The only thing that I can think of is to stick some kind of tab on there that I can use to pull it out.

    Hi Senneca,
if it is like the DV5030 then you push it in to release it and it will pop out, when you want to put it back in just push it until you feel a little click.
Oh yeah and make sure you push it straight or it will get cocked and bind up against the edge of the slot.

Thanks for the help, it worked. I guess that I wasn't pressing hard enough. The release mechanism is really tough/strong.

thanks for this info guys! I thought the slot was badly designed (my remote seemed to have got stuck the first time, and with a very heave heart pulled it out with tweezers :(...putting some scratches on the remote in the process). WIll try this out now :)

Yeah, the design for the dv2000's Express Slot and how to get the remote out was confusing for me at first, but I figured it out on my own shortly after getting the notebook.

I was so used to pushing the eject button that my dv1000 has, I didn't even think about pushing in on the remote.

    Hi All,
Yeah the directions (owners manual) doesn't make it real clear what exactly you need to do to get the thing out of the slot.
    Glad it helped.
