Hi everyone,
I'm currently losing about 10% of my battery life every 5 minutes!! All I do is browse the net and minor office work, No video, No music. Any suggestion on where I should begin to solve this problem? Things worked fine and I was getting just a tad over an hour on a battery until I called HP for Blue toothsupport... My original problem was my laptop not finding my bluetooth hardware. Support had me make some change in my BIOS, seemed like a safe restart. Nothin helped so he had me perform a system restore which freaked all my apps out! I system restored back and now I have a working PC minus Blue tooth and a battery longer than 30 minutes...
My Specs if they help:
DV2000t
Vista Business (upgrade)
Nvida 7200
Core 2 Duo 2.0
2 Gig Ram
Also there weren't any new programs installed since prior to the battery life being cut short and wireless assistant says BT- off, Wlan- on
All helps and tips would be greatly appreciated.
TIA,
Mike

Check your power plan settings. Right click the battery meter and see what it is set to. It might be set to High Performance or something like that, though that amount of drain does seem abnormally high.

The power plan is "power saver" but I also have NHC 2.0 running very stable set to battery optimized... NHC was installed and running about a month before I noticed the exaggerated battery drain...
