I have had a DV2000 since August. It has been great but recently the screen has developed a problem. There is basically a dark smudge on the upper left hand side of the screen, about 2 inches from the top left corner. It is not that noticeable but is defintely there and easily seen against a white screen. Also interesting to note, it is exactly in the only place that the screen shows flex when I press from behind. In fact, I can press anywhere on the back left and it will flex in that one area.

I bought the laptop at costco and don't know if it is worth returning at this point. Also, I believe I got the good screen brand since it is really bright and clear, but am worried if I try to exchange it that I will get a worse screen.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

If its a smudge, have you tried cleaning the screen? That may work...

Incidentally, Costco has a 180 day return policy.

It is definitely not a smudge.

    Thanks.

how do I do that if I already reformatted and reinstalled windows? I thought it would be in devices but it just has something generic in there.
