I tried my webcam by click MyComputer then clicking HP Pavillion Webcam afterwhich, it shows me a screen with myself on it. The thing is, the screen is relatively dark. Does this integrated webcam only work on very sunny days? Im indoor rightnow and the picture is really bad.

Would it help if i used a webcam software? Would it make the picture brighter? Is there any link you can give me showing a picture taken by your webcam during outdoor or indoors?

I would show you my webcam shot but i dont know how to upload a picture...

    Thanks

yes... the camera is just like the one found on mobile phone... most camera is like that though... digital or analogue, they just need light to capture images... that is what flash light are for.

Well I've got a dv6000 series, but it's the same webcam/mics that are inside as the dv2000 / dv9000 series.

What ever program you're using, just set the webcam settings, to what you need.

I find, turning up the brightness and turning off backlight makes a great difference. (Even if it says 0 for backlight click it again for 0) It's still not gonna be as good as a good logitech webcam, but the built in webcam is still very usable.

Plus you might want to make sure you've got the latest driver for the webcam.

    I hope that helps?!

Greetings - I re-installed XP Pro on my dv2000t and cannot find the webcam application on the SwSetup folder. I installed the Webcam demo, and the webcam works during the demo, but I don't have an application to start the webcam to test it. Any ideas or do you have the SP number or folder name in SwSetup? TIA
