I'm considering buying a DV2000t as soon as I can ebay my macbook (I'm tired of dealing with Applecare). What I'm wondering is if it is easy to upgrade the hard drive and RAM after I get the computer. Anyone know?
I have a spare 2.5" 160GB SATA hard drive that could be put to good use.
Also, any information regarding if HP will add draft-N to the DV2000t soon?

Hello and welcome.
The RAM is very easy to upgrade. HD takes little bit of work, but fairly easy.

Upgrading both those items takes about 2 minutes of work, assuming you are resinstalling the OS with your own CD's or have created recovery disks already.
Regarding draft-N, Intel has released a press release about their draft-N wifi card but you cant purchase it yet. Futhermore, the Draft-N card uses 3 Antennas, therefore in order to gain the full benefit of Draft-N (assuming your upgrading) you would need to purchase a 3rd antenna, take apart the whole laptop (including the lcd assembly, which is where the antenni are housed) and then install it. If you dont mind taking it all apart, its a fun exercise, but for the average user this upgrade is completely out of the question.
