Hi. I need some help. I have some images in my computer that I need to see show it on TV screen. Not sure if DV2020 can do that, but if yes, how do I do it and what do I need?

I suppose some information is on the booklet, but its in a box being shipped to me, and I need to know very soon.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

well it should have S-video out so with that you can hook it up to your TV

I dunno about if the intel graphics cards have this feature but the nvidia card versions definitely will.

also check the hp website, they should have info on whether it comes with the s-video thing

if it comes with HDMI then you could hook it up that way if you have a high def screen

I have the bigger version of your notebook, the dv5020. Your laptop will have an S-video out, they are right about that. get an S-video cable, hook up to the port out on your laptop and the port in on the TV. then, change the TV to the setting that reads that port in. on some of the higher end TV's, you'll have to set up that input line in before you can watch. not a big deal.

Next, once you got the TV config'd, and it's hooked up to the laptop and TV with your S-Video cable, then you gotta use your function keys to duplicate the display on your line out. Also, a word of caution, do NOT use a nasty cheap cable! your image will look HORRIBLE and your sound might suffer too. i recommend monster cable stuff.

You can do that by hitting the function key, and the key with the blue box with vertical lines on each side of the box. those markings are in blue, and on my laptop it's on the F4 key on top of the keyboard. once again, hit the blue function key and that marked key/ F4 key at the same time.

That allows you to duplicate what's on your screen on the line out, and since you have it hooked up to the TV, it'll display on the TV.

Very useful for presentations (hooked up to a projector), for watching movies (on a nice HiDef TV like we have at home) and for gaming.

Hope this helps! let us know how it works out. :D
