DV2500 vs. DV2600 series??

Whats the difference other than perhaps a larger HD on the 2600? Amazon has a model DV2620 with an AMD TL-58. I am wondering if it comes with an Intel core 2 duo also under a differebt model #? Is anyone savvy yet on these new models? Best buy has a DV2660se thats perfect for my needs but a bit pricey still at; 1149.00 + Maine state tax...YUK!!!! Any advice will be appreciated.

 

the dv25XX is intel centrino duo (santa rosa) and the dv26XX seres is amd, which the intel processors are def faster than amd processors

 

Also, the dv2600 series has that new "verve" imprint finish (with a silvery-brown color scheme) while the dv2500 series has the "radiance" finish (circle pattern motif with a black/silver color scheme)

 

Not all the dv2600 models have the Verve finish (if the pictures are accurate), as HP has several without it. Here's one:

Also, the dv2600 series is not exclusive to either AMD or Intel. There is rather a large retail model listing for both.......

 

I think most people are confused about this one. The dv2600 series was an HP announcement for CTO international laptops, aka, ones that aren't sold in the US. They are the equivalent to the dv2500 laptops that are sold here. The dv26xx laptops you see at stores like BestBuy are just normal dv2500 preconfigured models.

Thus, dv2500 = dv2600. You use 6, when you run out of 5.
