I've read conflicting reports of some people claiming to have gotten gigabit ethernet (aka 10/100/1000 aka GigE) on their CTO dv2500t. I know the manual claims 10/100, and I've even asked a rep... but I've read here on these forums that some people said that their hardware registers as 10/100/1000.
What's the consensus dv2500t owners?![]()

Dont have an answer on the Dv 2500t. But I know friend who recieved the Dv9500tCTO with the x3100 Graphics Card recieved a 10/100 NIC, and anouther friend who ordered a Dv9500t CTO with the NVIDIA card got a 10/100/1000 NIC Card.

The dv9500t page says 10/100, but the driver in the Device Manager says Gigabit (after a driver upgrade), so who knows. It's certainly confusing. Maybe it was a 10/100 when it shipped, but the driver update enables 1000? Possible.

Just did a quick search, and the network chip, Realtek RTL8101, is 10/100 only. Still plenty fast for pretty much anything (and who has a gigabit network switch at home?)
DV2500T... GIGABIT OR NO GIGABIT?... That is the question.
