Just received my customized DV2500t from HP today (after numerous shipping delays). However, on opening the machine the model number listed at the top of the display is "HP Pavilion dv2000". Is this right or have I been sent an older model? Seems very odd but I suppose they could be using the same chassis as the older model. Could anyone clear this up? Thanks.

Heres what HP does: The dv2500 is the upgraded model of the dv2000, just like the dv6500 is the upgraded model of the dv6000 and the dv9500 is the upgraded model of the dv9000. I just received my dv9500t and it says dv9000 on the laptop screen as well. They just put the base model number of the laptop up there. So it doesn't mean that you didn't receive a dv2500, it just means that the dv2500 is the upgraded model of the dv2000. Thats just HP's way of upgrading their laptops with more available features.
