    DV2745se and GeForce Go 7150M (UMA) Issue/Question

    I just bought this laptop in a Best buy... i paid $1000 for it... its great on multitasking... Turion x2 2.000 and 3Gigas ram ( i upgraded and now its runing on 4GB: 2gb x 2gb... and the video card is a GeForce Go 7150M (UMA).... i entered the Bios and setted up 128MB on it... it was working with 64MB factory default... now... many reviews and the box also says up to 1000MB shared memory... well... i dont know how to activate that 1000MB shared memory... when its on idle on windows or at a game... and i go and watch the ram memroy thats its being used! im not using 1GB for the video card... am i doing something wrong??? where do i need to go to activate this video card shared memory? also.. do i need to download any nvidia driver? or tweak program? i downloaded riva tunner and its not working! like it works on my desktop... please i need help! i play old games but i still want that memory that i was hoping to have!

    First of all, why do you care about this? It's not like if you activate all that 1gb of shared memory your games will run smoother.

    In fact, you won't notice an ounce of difference between the default 64mb and the max of 1000mb. So don't worry about it.

    Oh and btw, the driver controls the amount of memory taken, so when you do something graphics intensive, it will take more memory. But like I said before, it won't make any difference.

    Hey tomcat i am considering buying this laptop myself from best buy. How does the 6-cell battery do on this laptop, other than that i am pretty convinced that for $850 its a good deal. I am not a gamer, but i will do some multitasking and i am looking for something light and portable do you still recommend this computer?
