    Hi all,

I have downgraded my hp DV2799eo (special edition) to xp. Everything works good, but not my wireless...

    Problems:
    - I have a switch button for my wireless card, and its always glowing red, even if i turn it on.
I cant find any wireless connections even if the wireless card is visible in the device manager.

I have tried all sorts of drivers, and i have also looked around in the forum. It seems to be a common problem, and some others have solved it, but i cant.

    - I have also another problem, in device manager the "Base system Device" is glowing yelow.
    I really need help.

    Info:
    Intel(R) PRO/wireless 3945AGB network connection

    Hardware Ids
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4222&SUBSYS_135C103C&REV_02
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4222&SUBSYS_135C103C
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4222&CC_028000
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4222&CC_0280

    Question
Do i have to buy a new wireless card? i did read somewhere that the switch button system dosent work with xp.

    THANK YOU!

Have you read the stickies about this?

You don't have to buy a new wireless card.
