This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hi!

    Im pretty clueless when it comes to notebooks & stuff, so please excuse me.

    Ive just got a DV530EA & on the desktop there are a few shortcuts to websites like yahoo, ebay etc. I want to get rid of these as it is pretty useless to me. But when I click to delete them it says "deleting this shortcut does not uninstall the program. It only removes the icon that points to that program. If you want to uninstall use programs & features." But when I go to programs & features, I cant find the yahoo or ebay. Can anyone help me please? :D

    Right click on the shortcut, Properties, and click on the Find Target button. You can also look at the Target rectangular box at the top to see where it is located.

    Because some of them are not programs, just web browser shortcuts. They can be deleted without issue.
