    Hey,

I am thinking of purchasing a DV3507EA here is the uk:

    P8400
    2.26Ghz
    3Gb DDR2
    250GB
    9300M GS 512Mb
    3x USB 2.0
    eSata
    HDMI
    13.3"
    1280 x 800
    1.87 kg

Seems pretty good specs for under £700. Only one thing bothers me: I cant find any reviews of these.

Does anyone have any opinions on these?

    Colin

I had one of those. At first sight it is looking good. What lacking here on this model is the backlid on the keyboard, the US version had backlid. The black lettering is very hard to see in low light. (con)
pro - remote, I use the remote to turn it on first time
con - The battery meter will not estimate your remaining battery time, this happens on most HP laptop. You can get batterybar software, seem to be the only thing to estimate.
con - One of the USB port is actually eSata with USB enabled.
pro - Dual audio out ! this is the part I like.
con - Weight is quite heavy for 13" laptop.
con - Does not come with recovery CD, though you can make it yourself (recommended). I need to tell you that you should never split the partition in half unless you got the recovery CD made before doing so.. My one got spoiled and need to order the DVDs restore disk for £25.
    pro - HDMI
Geforce 9300m GS is ddr2 not ddr3, gaming performance on new games suffers alot!
pro - temperature is quite low good cooling from hp?

I had it for 3 weeks now. There were some problem with some router that will rejected by the machine. Cannot find DHCP server and such, usually happens on bluesocket, airport and public router. This includes ethernet, it is sure weird.
If you are interested in this, I am selling mine for around £600.
I did some gaming benchmark too:
