Hey guys. I just got my DV3T. I noticed that the cooling pad I currently have will not work with this laptop since it sucks air from under the laptop, while the DV3T sucks the air from under the laptop and blows it out the side.

So are there any cooling pads that work well with the DV3T? Ones that blow air from the bottom to the top?

    Thanks!

Also anyone got an recommendations for some accesories for this baby?

Have you tried one of those dual fan pads, the single fan ones are crap, that blow air onto the bottom of the laptop?
They cool my notebook a few degrees that has a exhaust fan that works the same way.

yes thats what i currently have... but it doesnt blow air up... it sucks it from the bottom of the laptop.

and if my laptop sucks air from the bottom... and the pad sucks air from the top... there is no air flow lol... they work opposite of eachother

I'm pretty sure you are not creating a vacuum underneath your laptop. but go check out ebay. They come in every shape and size you could want

the point isn't to create a vaccum . the problem with laptops that vent at the bottom is that there is very little air space under a vaccum so its just filling that air with heat. Then that air is exhausted from the sides , back/ front of the laptop where it is then sucked back in by the laptop thus creating hotter and hotter air around the laptop.

Most coolers with the fans under them are there to raise the laptop creating a larger space to release the heat in and then by having fans push the air downwards is able to eject the hot air further away from the intake vents.

Now some laptops draw air in from the bottom. But the fans are weak and hte air flow is limited by the space. If you get a fan stand that shoots the air upwards it has more powerfull fans pulling more air in and helps reduce the strain on the fans in hte laptop as well as providing more , cooler air.
