There is a DV4000 for sale on e-bay that is advertised with a Celeron M processor and a ATI x700 GPU. Is/was this a option for the DV4000? Im not a laptop guru, but I have never heard of a low end processor matched with a high end gpu. It could be a seller mistake, but I am curious to know if any of you know wither or not this is a possible configuration.

    Thanks,
    Cap

That's very weird. I'm almost certain a dv4000 wouldn't be able to have the x700, as it was almost always found in larger 17" notebooks. I'm pretty sure dv4000s only support integrated graphics (intel gma 900). Could either be a scam or a mistake.

Yeah it sounds a lil bit strange, so I asked the seller if he is 100% sure of the configuration, still waiting on a answer back. The dv4000 was available with the x700 and Pentium M processor as per this review

,but I have not been able to find it with the Celeron/x700.

The mystery is solved! It was seller error. It has a GMA 915.

Nevertheless, x700 option was available on DV4000 for about 2 months. There was a significant heat issue associated with the x700 in the plastic body of DV4000. Unfortunately, I got one of those (and I thought I was lucky to get one with x700). I just got a new laptop last week after struggling with the DV4000 for the last 6 months to get it started and it hardly keeps any USB port alive for any connection.
