    Is the HP DV4000 not available at all in the UK? Is it called something different? I haven't been able to find it for sale anywhere at all, and even the HP UK website doesn't acknowledge it's existence.

    Thanks, I don't know what google-magic you weaved to find that, but I couldn't find it. Unfortunately, when the price has been translated into pounds from US dollars, it seems that the exchange rate has been ignored and they just decided to change the dollar sign to a pound sign :-(

    Oh well. The search continues.

    I hit HP UK>Notebooks>HP Pavillion and there it were. It is listed under dv4200 and dv4300.

    I think I made the mistake of trying to buy it from HP, and going in that way. *sigh*
