    DV4131 Display Is This Normal?

    i have buyed ne pavilion dv4131 this my first laptop so i don't know is the following is normal state or not so help me if you can i notice that the color is relatively not shine or clear
    in my PC i can see XP Start button clearly with its green color
    but in my laptop i the button color someway pale the same in yellow folder color? so id its normal view or i need to check some thing

    Are you looking at the LCD correctly? For notebook LCD's, you need to look at some directly parallel with the LCD. If you're at an angle that is too high or low, it may cause this to happen.

    Another possibility is the screen settings. Make sure you didn't make any changes to the video card drivers in Windows. Some allow you to increase contrast/brightness/gamma and this may also make the colors washed out.

    A 3rd possibility would be that the LCD is bad. You may need to get it replaced if the other 2 above don't help.

    Did any of the above possibilities I listed pinpoint the problem? If so, which one and what did you do to get it fixed. This may help other users with a similar problem.

    the thing that cause this problem is the battery when i use the computer via battery the display is not clear like when i not use it other thing is the view angle as you said
