    Hi everyone,

I've read some threads that the HP DV4T can have up to 8GB memory, but the spec on the HP website says that 4GB is max. So can I upgrade the DV4t to 6GB or 8GB memory? Will they be recognized?

    Thanks,
    Gnimble

I believe mine says it is 8GB max. Currently, 4GB sticks of RAM is EXTREMELY expensive, so 4GB is the current economical max. They will not even attempt to sell you 8GB of RAM as yet.

Thank you. I haven't check the prices but after reading your post on the cost of a 4GB stick of notebook memory, I looked up prices on newegg. Yikes... they are sure pricey. I guessed I should be happy with 4GB. I thought about 6GB or even 8GB and making a 2GB Ramdrive for some of my applications. I'll wait until the price go down.

    Cheers,
