Hi guys, i'm thinking of getting a DV5 with the following spec's

    Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor P7350 2GHz 3mb
    NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT
    4096 MB RAM
    250GB 5400rpm HDD
    Intel® PRO/Wireless 4965AGN Network Connection
15.4” WXGA High-Definition AG Display with infinity BrightView
Blu-Ray ROM with SuperMulti DVD±R/RW Double Layer

I'm worried that the processor will slow the system down, i'm going to be doing graphic work and some gaming, i know i have more than enough RAM and the Graphics card is fine, but the P7350 is the lowest processor offered by HP. I'm buying this preconfigured and can't get a better processor without ditching the graphics for the 9200M, so if the processor is going to slow down the system then i will have to find another laptop to buy.

Also is the processor a 45nm Centrino 2?

PS: I'm buying in the UK so cannot customise the processor.

    I purchased my dv5t with the P8400 and x4500 graphics. I run PS CS3
on a daily basis and find it more than capable for heavy duty image
editing. And, this is with "only" 2GB RAM.

You should have no problems with your configuration.

I am ordering my T500 with a T9600, if you don't need graphics it won't slow your system down. but you want to game so a decent GPU is required. the T7350 on gaming will be faster, but any other faster chip will be better in phote editing etc.
