I'm pretty much set on getting a DV5, but I was doing a little more digging around, and found that in Australia, we've got several similar but different systems:

    HP
    Pavilion
    dv5-1010TX
    Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 2.53 GHz
    L2 Cache: 6 MB
    FSB: 1066 MHz
HDD: 320 GB 5400 RPM SATA
    RAM: 4 GB DDR2
    Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT
Screen: WXGA High-Def Brightview Infinity 1280x800
    Also has Blu-Ray

    -1056TX
    Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 2.8 GHz
    Chipset: Intel PM45
    L2 Cache: 6 MB
    FSB: 1066 MHz
HDD: 320 GB 5400 RPM SATA
    RAM: 4 GB DDR2
    Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT
    Screen: WXGA High-Def Brightview Infinity
    Also has Blu-Ray

Since I'm in Australia, prices are on the high side, the cheapest I've found for the 1010 is 2,175AUD, while the 1056 goes for $2,199 AUD. Since the latter has a T9600, and is approx the same price, is there something I'm missing?

There's also a similar comparison between a couple of other Pavilions.

*shrug* only difference I can see is the T9400-T9600 thing...

$20 USD difference seems pretty cheap... o_O
