    DV5 question...How can i have hdmi output as default?

    Hi, i have a DV5-1145ev laptop, which has 9600gt vga card...i primarily use it as a media center and of course for work....what i want to ask is if it is possible when i switch on the laptop from the remote, to output the screen to my lcd monitor via hdmi....i always have to first go near the laptop, open the lid, then close it again and finally picture on tv...i searched all the driver settings and nowhere has any option to always try hdmi first....if a have the tv open....it shows for some seconds the desktop and again it returns to the laptop screen...eventhough it's closed.....

    any solution?

    p.s. sorry for my english....any help appreciated....i tried various drivers always same results...my lcd is a Philips 32pfl9603d

    I was always under the impression that the little monitor button on the remote actually does work. But again, that might just be me... Are you sure you have tried it?
