So I finally turned on my new DV5-1004 this evening after buying it on Friday. First thing I get is "Bootmgr missing, press ctrl+alt+delete to reboot." Of course, since there is no Boot Manager, you can guess what I got again when I rebooted the computer.

My plans were to exchange at Best Buy since I got it for $799 and it's now back up to $999, but waiting at the front of the line at Geek Squad for 30 minutes to have it checked while other employees were coming, going and doing anything but working didn't sit well with me  , so I told them they can keep it and waive the restocking fee. So I'm back on my DV6000 now and do not plan to buy another HP due to the problems I have had with this one as well.
