Hello there everybody,
I have HP Pavilion DV5 1028ca Laptop that came with Windows Vista Home Premium installed on it.
I am looking to downgrading it to XP but currently there are no drivers for Windows XP on HP website.
All they have for XP for this model is Quick Buttons driver and software.
My laptop came with lots of features built it and i will need all the drivers in order to use them.
I've contacte HP support and they told me that there is nothing they can do, they cannot support that.
Is there any other way of doing it? Running some software that will detect the hardware and install the drivers? Because some of the hardware might also be used on ther laptops that support XP.

i guess these are the links for the xp drivers. i did a search and found an italian site that was discussing similar drivers.
atheros card : http://download2.dvd-driver.cz/atheros/drivers/ar5xxx/xp32-7.6.0.239-whql.zip
realtek: http://www.driversdown.com/Download...sdown.com/Network/realtek_rtl8100e_698_xp.zip
audio: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/win/160036
now i cant say if these will work or not; just searched and found them. goodluck
i believe the sata drivers have to be integrated into the xp install cd. -
You can slipstream the AHCI XP driver from the 6735b to get XP to install.

i dont recomend downgrading to xp with this laptop, its fast. just tweak vista for speed. the ati hd 3200 can run dx10.1

u have to use the amd sata driver, and the audio driver above works, and ati has the graphics driver on website for xp, and lan driver is available but not wlan
